In 1991 a Major tenant in Midtown Manhattan, i.e. a tenant looking for 150,000 square feet and up, was concerned by the relative paucity of options available to them. A tenant of that size had perhaps five or six viable choices, and it appeared that those choices were well on their way to being leased and no new blocks appeared to be in the offing.
